Serving Lakeville South Youth Football Players from 1st through 8th Grade

The Lakeville South Football Association (LSFA) provides a safe football experience for children in 1st through 8th grades. We strive to keep our program affordable for all families, ensure we have the latest equipment for player safety and provide continuous coach training and certification. 

Cougar Academy has evolved into Cougar Academy Minicamp. This newly designed, exciting, and action-packed 5-week event is focused on teaching our young Cougars both individual skills and team strategies, with a special emphasis on having fun while learning the game.

Throughout the camp, players will improve their fundamentals and learn a variety of plays. The minicamp will also feature a friendly, competitive passing league, where teams, coached by the Cougar varsity players, will go head-to-head in a series of games, giving players a chance to showcase their progress in a fun and supportive environment. The passing league will focus on improving quarterbacks’ accuracy, receivers’ routes, and defenders' coverage, all while emphasizing good sportsmanship and team spirit.

To keep the energy high, there will also be friendly grade-specific competitions throughout each session. By the end of the Cougar Academy Minicamp, players will not only have learned valuable football skills but will also have made new friends and experienced the excitement of football in a fun, non-pressure environment.

Cost

The cost is $100 per player and each player will receive a 2025 Cougar Academy Minicamp t-shirt.

Athletes

The 2025 Cougar Academy Minicamp is for all our Lakeville South youth football players currently (2024/2025 school year) in grades 1-8.  

Session Dates and Times

Five sessions will be held Sunday April 13, April 27, May 4, May 18 and June 1.

Grades 1-4: 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Grades 5-8: 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Location

All sessions will be hosted at Lakeville South High School.

Attire and Equipment

New this year! Players will only need to wear weather appropriate athletic attire and footwear. In addition, they must also have a mouth guard.
